Subject: An Important Update about Recent Attendance Alerts.

Dear Parents/Guardians,
I am reaching out to you today to provide some clarification regarding recent attendance alerts that you might have received.
Firstly, we want to inform you that we've welcomed a new vendor to our team who is in charge of issuing voice, text, and email alerts concerning student attendance. Today marked their first day in this role.
However, admittedly, not everything went as smoothly as intended. Due to an unforeseen error, you may have received an alert relating to absences from yesterday, rather than today. We understand how potentially confusing this may have been, particularly given the strong emphasis we place on attendance.
Also, in this initial round of communication, some alerts extended beyond primary caregivers to include those listed as emergency contacts. Please know that our intention is to ensure that vital attendance information is directed only towards a student's primary caregiver.
We extend sincere apologies for any misunderstanding or inconvenience this issue may have caused. Please be assured that we're working with our new vendor to rectify these issues promptly. Our goal is to have the new system functioning correctly and as per our expectations by next week.
We appreciate your patience as we continue to enhance our communication processes to serve you better and facilitate effective communication regarding your child's education.
