Welcome to the exciting world at Collins Career Technical Center High School, where we're all about learning by doing and getting you ready for what comes next. Think of our high school as your launchpad to the future. Like small schools within the school, we have five incredible academies - Construction, Health, Services, Technology, and Trades. Each academy is a collection of similar career-technical programs that share a core group of academic teachers (English, math, science, and social studies). This arrangement allows our academics to be an extension of your program. Still, these are super-charged to help you dive deep into the career you're curious about. Each one lets you get your hands dirty (in some cases) with real projects and tasks that pros do every day.

Here's the cool part: as you work through these programs, you're not just learning how to do a job. You're also picking up essential certificates like gold stars on your resume, showing companies you have the skills they need. Whether you dream of jumping straight into a job, heading off to an Ohio Technical Center, diving into college, or even joining the military, we're all about ensuring you're ready for that next giant leap. We aim to get you employed, enrolled, or enlisted right after you earn that high school diploma.

But wait, it gets better. Alongside all this career-focused awesomeness, we're also big on teaching you the superpowers of the job world - things like critical thinking, problem-solving, how to be a pro at working with others, and being an all-around excellent employee. So, say you choose cosmetology but later decide nursing is your true calling – guess what? You're set up for that switch. The difference is, now you can earn money as a licensed Cosmetologist, while you persue your nursing degree. The skills you learn here open up multiple paths, not just the one you started on.
