CCTC Satellite Courses
Collins Career Technical Center (CCTC) offers a variety satellite courses that are taught on location at six of the seven Lawrence County school districts by CCTC teachers as part of the student's regular school day. These STEM-based programs include Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Biomedical Science and Engineering, Teacher Academy, Video Production, and Early Childhood Education in high schools. Additionally, there is a STEM Gateway course, which is a middle school program that introduces students to scientific concepts and STEM education.
Overall, the satellite programs offered by CCTC provide students with valuable hands-on experience in STEM fields and prepare them for careers in these industries. These programs also help to bridge the gap between high school and college or the workforce by providing students with real-world skills and experiences that they can apply as they move towards their career goals.
